Course Objectives
This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive education and practical training in the field of athletic training. Upon completion of the course, students are expected to gain the following learning outcome:

Provide standard immediate and emergency care procedures to patients and clients
-
Gain the knowledge and skills to recognise the risks associated with the injury and implement an appropriate plan to minimise risks
-
Possess the requisite knowledge and skills to identify and assess an individual's condition, enabling to determine the most suitable course of management
-
Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to facilitate the recovery of function, return to physical activity, and high levels of performance through a clinically reasoned approach
-
Possess the skills necessary to develop, administer, and manage a healthcare facility and associated venues that provide healthcare services​​​

Associate member of Hong Kong Athletic Trainers' Association

Graduates from QF level 5 or above programmes with core teaching elements (fully/partially) matched ​*

Class Venue
Classes are held in Prince of Wales Hospital, Shatin, occasionally in CUHK campus and various clinics/sports clubs / Lingnan University campus and sports centre
Tuition Fee
Regular Rate :HK$4,500
Early- Bird Rate : HK$3,800 ( application on or before 19 September 2025)
Partial Rate: HK$1,800^

Graduation Requirement

Fulfil 100% attendance requirement

Obtain a pass in the Certification Examination ​
^ Subject but not limited to Graduates from
1) MSc in Sports Medicine and Health Science - CUHK (TDP and AT streams )
2) Professional Diploma in Athletic Training - CUHK
3) BSocSc in Sports Recreation Management - THEi (Specialization in Sports Therapy)
These students are eligible for applying partial (2 days) course

2) Urgent and Emergent Care & Intervention : Therapeutic Intervention, Emergency Medical Care

** For students who do not hold a valid first - aid and AED certificate , they are required to enrol in a first-aid and AED certificate course upon admission
